THE STORY OF RAJU HIRVE
(FOUNDER OF ZUNJ)
ZUNJ Divyang Sanstha Ashram Training Centre, led by Founding President Raju Hirve, is a transformative organization working tirelessly for the empowerment and education of differently-abled individuals across Maharashtra.
Established in 2014, the NGO provides training in mobile repair, tailoring, beauty parlour skills, and data entry, helping over 2,000 students gain practical skills.
With initiatives like inter-caste marriage ceremonies and free distribution of essential equipment such as wheelchairs and crutches, the organization plays a key role in enhancing the lives of disabled individuals.
ZUNJ has also facilitated job creation through NHFDC programs and offered free UDI cards and support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their efforts have garnered numerous accolades, including the National Youth Consciousness Award, Dr. Kalam Youth Inspiration Award, and Samaj Bhushan Award.
Raju Hirve himself being a differently-abled person, realised that society needed a foundation that helped the people in need.
Based in Pimpri-Chinchwad, the NGO continuously strives to uplift and empower the differently-abled community, making a profound impact through its various social and vocational initiatives.
